Top Ten Tuesdays: Top Ten Books For People Who Like Suzanne Collins

Happy Tuesday before Independence day for those of you in America. For everyone else, happy Tuesday. Top Ten Tuesdays is a weekly meme we participate in hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week's topic is books for people who liked a certain author. Some people talked about many different authors, but I wanted to focus on one author and a specific type of book. So, these are my recommendations for anyone who enjoyed The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins.

1. Graceling by Kristin Cashore
This is an obvious choice. The main character Katsa reminds me so much of Katniss.

2. Fire by Kristen Cashore
This is the same author as above but its a completely different world.

3. Divergent by Veronica Roth
This is another dystopian world where society is separated.

4. Incarceron by Catherine Fisher
Incarceron is an escapable prison in the future. No one but the prisoners themselves no of the real horrors that lie within.
5. Matched by Ally Condie
The government chooses who you end up with in this dystopian thriller.

6. Delirium by Lauren Oliver
The main character rebels for the ability to love.

7. Wither by Lauren DeStefano
This is in the future where no one lives past the age of 25.

8. The Host by Stephenie Meyer
This book explores the relationship between ruler and unwilling slave.
9. Gathering Blue by Lois Lowry
Everyone's read Ms. Lowry's novel The Giver in school. This is a book along the same vein. It is a great read.

10. Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder
The main character in this is very smart and headstrong like Kaniss.

Well, that's my list. Are there any other books that you would recommend? Do you disagree with any of my recommendations? Tell us in the comments. Have a great 4th of July/Wednesday!
